1. Ms. Sadya Nawaz-Khan – Family Solicitor

Ms Sadya Nawaz  joined MB Law Ltd Solicitors in November 2018 as a Family Supervisor. Having graduated at Brunel University in 2000 Sadya went on to undertake the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law and qualified as a solicitor in May 2006. She is also a Family Panel Member. Sadya has been committed to Family Law since 2001 having worked for Children and Family Court Advisory Service (CAFCASS) legal services in London and other legal aid firms specializing in Family Law. Sadya has in depth knowledge of all areas of Family Law both privately funded and legally aided.

Over the past years Sadya has conducted cases under the Children Act involving complex contact and residence disputes between parents, involving issues surrounding child abuse and neglect, removal from jurisdiction and emergency applications for the return of children to a parent. Sadya actively represents parents in Public law proceedings in dispute with the local authorities as well as representing grandparents in both private law and public proceedings to obtain defined contact orders in respect of their grandchildren and also Special Guardianship Orders.

Sadya also undertakes divorce proceedings and financial matters (Ancillary Relief) resulting from the breakdown of a marriage/relationship as well as preparing Pre-Nuptial agreements for individuals wishing to protect their wealth prior to entering into a marriage.

As a Family Lawyer, Sadya endeavors to settle disputes by way of negotiations on amicable basis to minimize any further emotional distress to the individuals involved. This would also include representing individuals with regards to co-habitation disputes under Trust law.

Others areas where specialist advice and assistance is given to individuals is Domestic Violence whether as a victim or as an alleged perpetrator.  We can apply for emergency injunction for victims of domestic abuse to provide them with immediate protection as well as providing representation to the alleged perpetrators ensuring that they too receive a fair trial.

Sadya has wealth of experience in dealing with clients from all walks of life and provides an effective, constructive and professional advice to all clients.  She is pro active in progressing matters for clients in a cost effective manner both in and outside the court arena.

Sadya is fluent in speaking English, Urdu, Hindi and understands Punjabi as well.

2. Ms Shamim Devji – Solicitor Crime

Ms Shamim Devji, working as a solicitor since 2010, has a vast experience in working on criminal and family matters. Self-motivated and hard-working. Successfully handled criminal cases related to drink and drive, criminal damage, assault by beating, ABH, common assault and family cases related to divorce and child proceedings.

Shamim is well known for strategic thinking and case planning, she leaves no stone unturned.

3. Ms. Mahnie Wright – Case Worker

Ms Mahnie Wright joined MB Law in 2020. She has studied law through the CILEX Professional Qualification and has been working in Family Law for 15 years. She began work at the Family Courts, working on complex care cases and working in close proximity to the Circuit Judges presiding over the cases. It is here that she developed her interest and knowledge in Family Law, before going on to work at a firm of solicitors and specialising in Family Law.

Mahnie works primarily on Public Law Care Cases, when a Local Authoirty is attempting to remove a child from a parent. She provides advice and instruction to clients, as well as instructing some of the best barristers and experts in the field. She has extensive experience working on these sensitive cases, from her years working at the Court and the years working to defend the rights of parents involved in Public Law Proceedings. She has dealt with a wide range of cases involving allegations of neglect, non-accidental injury, and abuse and can help to navigate clients through the complicated and sometimes intimidating proceedings.

Mahnie also works on Private Law cases, assisting clients with their individual needs such as applying for or responding to Applications for Child Arrangements Orders or Non – Molestation Orders.

Mahnie offers a warm yet direct approach and is comfortable dealing with all clients who need her assistance. She uses her knowledge of Family Law to advise clients in order to achieve the best possible result, whilst taking on board their wishes and feelings.

4. Ms. Rubina Chughtai – Duty Solicitor Crime

Rubina Chughtai, working since 2004 as a solicitor. She has a vast experience in dealing with criminal matters of all categories. She is well versed with the proceedings and procedures of court hearings and police station interview. She keeps herself updated with the updates in the field of law to provide best in class service to her clients. She specialises in dealing with Drink and drive, common assault, criminal damage, domestic violence cases.

5. Miss Tamarin Hepple – Case Worker

Miss Tamarin Hepple joined MB law in 2023. She achieved her undergraduate law degree whilst working in Compliance and volunteering for the Citizens Advice Bureau. Tamarin went on to study the Bar Course and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2023, after achieving a Distinction.  Following that she completed her Masters degree where she wrote about the Judiciaries opinions and how they affect the Criminal law. Whilst undertaking the Bar Course, Tamarin worked alongside a Criminal Barrister and gained experience with serious organised crime (drugs, fraud, money laundering, assault etc). Tamarin has also recently completed a Mediation Course with the Society of Mediators.

Tamarin has experience with murder/murder appeals at the Court of Appeal, drug conspiracies, serious sexual offences, money laundering, serious fraud matters, violent offences, POCA proceedings and licencing authority matter/appeals. Tamarin also handles a number of Youth cases and always provides a sympathetic and mature approach.

Tamarin joins our very busy Crown Court Criminal team and will be supervised by Mr. S Sharma at the firm. Tamarin has a keen eye for detail and is well equipped to handle paper heavy cases. Tamarin can assist clients with any of their Crown Court criminal matters.

6. Jong Kim – Solicitor

Jong Kim

Jong Kim is a highly educated individual with a diverse background in Law and Finance. Jong has studied, in the UK, BA (Hons), MSc and Phd in Finance and a Graduate Diploma in Law and a Legal Practice Course.

Jong has worked in various legal roles in London, UK, including as a Solicitor at MB LAW LTD, where he has handled a broad range of matters across Criminal, Family, Care Proceedings and Immigration. He has successfully represented clients in serious and complex cases, including Terrorism, National Security, Murder, Rape, Fraud, Money Laundering, Drug Trafficking/Importation, Kidnapping, Firearms and Blackmail.

Furthermore, Jong has gained work experience in commercial litigation matters during his placement at Squire Patton Boggs and JKW Law, where he supported the commercial litigation team.

Jong has in-depth knowledge of Criminal, Family, Care Proceedings and Immigration law and legal procedures and has an ability to high-pressure situations with calm and professionalism and handle emotionally charged situations with sensitivity and empathy, creative problem-solving skills and successfully represented clients in numerous high-profile cases.
